THis spelling game is a gem. The character is a fun loveing one that my boys love. My older school age kids did bore of this particular game faster than Didj racing (another spelling game) since they were able to conquer the many levels quickly. however it is great that I could add a specific list for up to 3 kids at once. My 3 year old still loves to play it since the fields are still a challenge, and he is just now learning to read and spell, so for him it is great! (but for older kids 2nd -5th grade, I suggest Didj racing Tiki tropics)

Santa brought this game for our 6 year old son with a Didj and it is his favorite game. It stops you throughout the game and has you spell words in order to advance in each level. I love that me, as a parent, can go hook it up to the computer (we have a Mac and it works fine) and I can choose the words he works on. He plays it a lot and is becoming an excellent speller. This was his first video gaming system and I’m quite pleased.

I purchased this game for my son who is in 2nd grade. Spelling is not a good subject for him, but he loves video games expecially his Didj. The game play is classic sonic, running real fast collecting rings. And then you stop for a bit and answer our spelling words. I put in his spelling list at the begining of the week and this game helps reinforce what we are practicing together. If you get the word wrong it shows you the correct spelling of the word. (Although I know it would be hard it would be nice if it would also spell it out loud but that is asking a bit too much.) He loves this game and I love that we have another way to reinforce his spelling words.

My 6 1/2 year old daughter received this game for Christmas and really seems to enjoy it. It was a character she knew from the Leapster game and she dove right in without fear.

What I like is that I hooked the didj up to my computer (fairly simple with instructions from leapfrog.com) and added her weekly spelling words to the game. Now when she’s playing Sonic and words pop up they’re from her word wall at school.

Also, when I connect the game to my computer I can view what she’s been playing, how long she’s been playing, what she excels at as well as what areas present a challenge for her. A little big brother-ish, but very informative.

I’ll admit we haven’t discovered everything about the game yet and have more explore, but I look forward to it and would recommend this game.

I gave durability five stars but I don’t know that I’ve owned it long enough to say that. The games are small and very thin, and will probably last as long as you take care of them

My 7 year old loves this game. I downloaded her weekly spelling words and she is spelling those while playing the game. I watched her play and the game went through the entire list of words during a short time playing. Great game!
