My 3 year old received this toy as a gift today and we were happy as we have liked the Leapfrog products she has so far but the Leapfrog Fridge Words horrified me. Why? because my child is running around the house yelling "B#TCH" because thats what the Leapfrog fridge words taught her to say, rather than "Bit" This is not a joke review, you can see my video of it on youtube. I immediately contacted Leapfrog customer service and they were very unconcerned even though I played the toy saying the word for them twice. When my kid gets kicked out of preschool for saying a word like that, are they going to take responsibility? Could have at least got a half hearted "sorry" I would recommend staying away from this particular Leapfrog product. Seems like it may have been a good toy if it didn't swear at me.

Have we stooped so low that reading out the word God is wrong?
<br />I am not a fanatic but my 3 year old daughter pointed out to me that "the machine does not know God". Seriously are we so far???

I got the word whammer for my 3 year old son. He previously used the alphabet one, and learned his alphabet well. I guess I had great expectations for the word whammer, but my son is not really showing much interesting on it yet. I hope it gets better.

My husband and I found this toy for our four year old son,and were so excited about it. After swearing off aggressive toys for our son's birthday, we thought this would be the perfect learning addition to our kitchen. First, it spelled cow, then bus, then war. That's right. WAR. Of course my child asked, "What is War?" I replied with, "Something so complex, even I can't explain it." How irrisponsible is this on the part of the company??? As a parent, I don't feel this should come up as a lesson to teach my four-year old. After contacting the customer service department about my dismay, they showed no concern. Despite the fact that they can block explicit words, (and you know which words I'm talking about) they apparently chose not to omitt this word, and didn't express any concern that they should ommit WAR. They did offer to send us a "new word whammer or a toy of equal or lesser value", if I would pay to send the current toy back to them. I am so disappointed in this company that prides themself on creating positive tools for children, and extremely disappointed in their customer support.
